Hello..
I am using WP Ver :5.2.3 & GD Ver :2.0.0.66Its a listing website using Supreme Directory theme. The plugins that i am using are Geo Directory, Ninja Forms, Code Snippets & Ultimate Member.
I have set the sorting Fields as Featured>(ascending title)>Newest(Ascending)>Rating(ascending) But Featured listing is not coming on top.
I read this somewhere that the Pricing Manager Addon needs to be installed to use Featured Sorting. Is this how it is or am i missing something here?
Please advise.
Thanks
ManishSeptember 23, 2019 at 5:47 pm #509815Hi Manish, try sortie Featured as descending.
Let us know. ThanksSeptember 23, 2019 at 6:31 pm #509819Hi Guust,
Thanks for replying. But “Descending” didn’t bring the featured listing on top. Basically, same as “Ascending”.
September 23, 2019 at 7:57 pm #509832Do you have any featured listings?
Please post your URL and WP admin details in a private reply and we will have a look for you.

September 23, 2019 at 9:40 pm #509867Hi Alex,
Scenario 1: From the “Front Page” , click on any categories, say
” Restaurants” – The search results will be sorted with “Featured” Listing(Sort by drop down Menu) & there will be “View Grid” options drop down Menu too- Works Fine now!Scenario 2: From the “Front Page”, search for , let’s say “Cuisine” –
The search results will not be sorted by “Featured” & sort by Drop down Menu is not visible too. Only “View Grid” Options drop down is visible on the page – Doesn’t Work! Can you please check again?
Thanks/ManishSeptember 23, 2019 at 9:52 pm #509871It’s working for trainers, that is the one I looked into.
Look over the sorting options for that CPT and then apply that to your other CPTs.
September 23, 2019 at 10:22 pm #509877I have only one CPT(the default one) & i renamed “Places” to “Trainers”. I believe, I cannot create more CPT in a free membership(haven’t bought any addon) – My website will focus on Single CPT – Trainers.
See the attached screenshots.
Screenshot 1 : When i search for “NLP” as text in search barScreenshot 2: When i Clicked on “NLP” as a category.
Both the Results are not sorted.
September 24, 2019 at 6:49 am #509909Search results are ordered based on the search query made.
The ordering set for listings is only for category pages, not the search page. Thanks
September 24, 2019 at 7:10 am #509911Thanks Guust,
But in that case, the whole purpose of having a Featured listing gets defeated. A visitor cannot be told to click only on categories & similarly, if someone has paid for being “Featured”, he doesn’t get his due.
Is there a way around this? Please let me know ASAP.
Manish
September 24, 2019 at 11:41 am #509957Unfortunately this setting is not currently available.
I have taken this up as a suggestion and will share it with our development team to see whether we can work on this in the near future.
Please feel free to make a new topic if you need help with anything else.
September 24, 2019 at 12:07 pm #509964Thanks Alex,
I need this feature because its very important for me. In the meantime, I will figure out another plugin that would work to give me a featured listing.
Yes, I have other points too & am opening another ticket right away.
