Hi,
How can i filter out claimed listings at the backend in wordpress? There are a lot of listings, and I cannot possibly sieve out the claimed listings to manage them. Is there a way to filter them out?
Thanks
November 29, 2017 at 3:43 pm #407440Hello!
there is a “claimed” column in the export file.
What do you want to do with the listings? I mean, what do you mean by “manage them”?

And I can possibly sieve them out from thousands of listings. So possible to do it backend?
Thanks.
November 30, 2017 at 3:06 pm #407628Hello!
GeoDirectory doesn’t have a feature like that at this time.
You can create a feature request here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/requests/

See image attached.
Thanks
December 1, 2017 at 12:45 am #407674What about on the front end? Could you assist me on filtering from the front end?
No the listing claims screen doesn’t show all the listings that are by other owners.
Thanks

You’d need to add an admin only custom field to achieve something like that.
Thanks

December 4, 2017 at 10:23 am #408100Hello Felicia:
Check out section 6 on this page: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/gd-search/
Overall:
1. Create a custom field that is admin only of type: Text (or checkbox)
2. As per section 6 above make it part of search (Advanced Search Addon)
3. If you use Text then default value claimed (if the person is entering it on add-listing then they wont be claiming it) – Or if Checkbox then have it checked by default to signify claimed.
4. If you import your listings then make sure that column says unclaimed for Text or is not checked for Checkbox type.
5. When a listing is claimed you must edit this field.
6. Since you are an Admin you should be able to see and search this field from the front end.I have never done this before but this is how I perceive it to be accomplished. Paolo may have some better insight or may be able to correct me if I over-complicated a piece of the puzzle but I wanted to give you some thoughts at least to get you started.
Warmest Regards,
Jonathan
December 4, 2017 at 2:14 pm #408161Hello!
Admin only fields are only hidden from the form but will be visible on the front end and in search.
Additional CSS might be used to hide the field.
One though would be to execute the search, and copy down the URL, perhaps placing it on a personal page accessible only to admins, to use again regularly to execute the search.
Then once you have the search URL and it shows listings, then hide the field with CSS
Additional information about custom fields can be found here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-place-settings/#custom
