Hello,
I am using the latest version of GD. It was installed on https://locations.specialstrong.com/
Two issues:
1.) In my case, the search is set up to first select a category “search for.” However, once a category is selected, it automatically pulls up all the listings for this category and the search appears to be completed. This is not helpful for the user, because they only care about finding a location near them. I would like it to be a three-step process (Step 1, pick a category. Step 2, enter or choose a location. Step 3, the search is rendered)
2.) When someone does click on a specific location, I get an error message at the top of the screen.
I appreciate any and all help
February 13, 2020 at 7:38 pm #530177Hello,
the autocomplete for titles and categories can be disabled in the advanced search function settings.
It sounds like you might want to replace it with category search filter, as described here:

February 13, 2020 at 8:00 pm #530188Thank you. This seems like it will solve problem #1.
For problem #2, I’ve attached the error message I get when I type in any location and click search.
Any thoughts on the bug?
February 13, 2020 at 9:04 pm #530205Can you share a link where you are seeing the warning?
These are just warnings and you can hide them by disabling wp debug.
If you can share a link with FTP and WP Admin credentials we can take another look.

Just use any location, search, and error appears

Thanks for your reply. Could you please go through this conflict test and see if it helps? https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/faq/troubleshooting/#conflict-test .
February 14, 2020 at 6:32 pm #530388Alex,
I did hide the search for and modify autocomplete for titles and categories. I also made changes (see attached) but the checkboxes do not show up and the choices are left in a light gray.
February 14, 2020 at 6:36 pm #530390Kor,
I disabled plugins one by one. After disabling Ninja Forms, the code error went away. Perhaps you can add this to your conflict list

For the category select, a choice needs to be made from the two categories listed there when you do a search.
The themer template is active now.
February 15, 2020 at 6:11 pm #530552Is it possible for the category selection to be checkboxes that allow the user to check one or both checkboxes?
The update appears to have fixed the other problem. Thank you for that
