    Hello,
I’m french user. I use GD on my site to geolocate practicians. So I changed the geodirectory-fr_FR.po file so that it fits my needs better, but I still have the word “endroit” that persists, and I do not know how to update it.
Here is one of the pages where I can not update: https://quellen.fr/praticiens/
there should be “Pratiques” instead of the first “Endroits” and “Praticiens” instead of “TOUT ENDROITS”, and “Praticiens” in the breadcrumb (see attached file).
Anyway, I would like to delete “TOUT” or “TOUS” on all pages titles.
    Thanks for your help
    Emma

Edit : I found how to remove “TOUT” and “TOUS” in titles (from preferences)

Be sure you are running the latest version of the plugin, and that your language file matches the version of the plugin.

To update or merge language files into a new version see: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/translation/overview/#updating

Are you saying that searching the file for ‘endr’ yields no results?

I may be misunderstanding, but it almost sounds like one of the strings in the file should be a different value when seen in different places.

I think this may answer your question:
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/faqs/how-do-i-change-place-and-places/

Places seems to be translated as “Endroit” in your language file.

    Thanks

    Thank you for your answers.
    Alex :
    – my version of the plugin is up to date (I installed it a few days ago).
    – look at my screenshot to see where it’s displayed
    Guust
    – I replaced in the .po file the word, there is no more “endroit”
    The big mistery !!

Like Alex said, you did not update to the latest version.
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/updating-your-language-files/

I updated it, made sure the files are at the correct spot: /wp-content/languages/plugins

They should not be at /wp-content/plugins/geodirectory/geodirectory-languages
They will be deleted there next update.

I can see you translated all Places to Membres, instead of Pratiques.

    Thanks

Me again! I corrected via Poedit “membre” in “thérapeute/praticien”, I recorded, compiled the .mo, upload to the server… on my website no change.
    I missed a step?

Make sure the files are at the correct spot: /wp-content/languages/plugins
I cannot see any changes you made in the file there: /wp-content/languages/plugins/geodirectory-fr_FR.po

I think you are working on the wrong file, you should delete the french files at /wp-content/plugins/geodirectory/geodirectory-languages

Well, how to say … in French “I’m a quiche”!!!
I put it in the “language” folder of the plugin. It works and this time I understood everything.
Thank you for your help and especially for your patience 🙂

I see you replaced the up-to-date file I created with your old one in /wp-content/languages/plugins/geodirectory-fr_FR.po

You need to update that to the latest version as explained here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/updating-your-language-files/

For me everything seems ok, I have no display error in my translations, and the files I upload are ones that I generated earlier after the update.
