Can you show me how to change the default wording “popular categories” on the front page below the search boxes? Also, can I change the quantity of the categories displayed and choose which ones I want there?
Thanks for the great support.
September 12, 2017 at 11:58 pm #395414Please review the settings of the the Popular Category widget in the GD Home Top section:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/widgets/#popular-post-catIf you are using the Supreme theme, review these links:

September 13, 2017 at 3:15 am #395432I am actually talking about the upper half of the front page where it says popular categories below the two search boxes and above the icons, not the area below above the map. I see how to limit the number of categories but can I determine which ones show up?
Thank you
September 13, 2017 at 3:30 am #395433“Popular” refers to the categories with the most listings, unless you are use custom coding or the CPT Categories widget.
ThanksSeptember 13, 2017 at 3:52 am #395434That makes perfect sense, thank you. What about changing the wording “popular categories” below the two search boxes and above the icons? Thanks
September 13, 2017 at 6:10 am #395440Change the title of the widget, either by using the shortcode title or the widget title.
I am guessing you are talking about the Supreme theme, but not sure. In that case, see https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-shortcodes/#popcats [see earlier link].Thanks
September 13, 2017 at 2:36 pm #395539I am sure I am missing something but I do not see a widget for that area of the front page. I am talking the space right below the two search boxed and above the icons on the supreme directory. Up top where the background image is the hand holding the map. Not below the fold.
Thanks
September 13, 2017 at 5:01 pm #395558Hi Joe,
in home page normally it doesn’t say popular category, if it does it means you did already some change.
Please provide a link and admin credentials in a private reply and we will have a look.
Thanks

Where in the video he writes “Price” you need to write “subtitle” and whatever you write in the value field, will be your subtitle.
Thanks
September 14, 2017 at 11:56 pm #395858Point taken. I have always paid a developer for this and now I see why. Thanks for the help.
September 15, 2017 at 12:00 am #395860oh, the only difference between that video and what you need to do is that he does it on a post and you need to do it in your front page.
Let me know if you don’t want to deal with this kind of stuff and I’ll ask to Guust if he’s available for some freelancing.
