“Popular” refers to the categories with the most listings, unless you are use custom coding or the CPT Categories widget.

Change the title of the widget, either by using the shortcode title or the widget title.

in home page normally it doesn’t say popular category, if it does it means you did already some change.

oh, the only difference between that video and what you need to do is that he does it on a post and you need to do it in your front page.
