Hi
Website : http://www.globaldutchies.nl
Following exact instructions on how to add possibilities of featured listings and new listings buttons.
Here is what I did.I connected featured listings to the Golden package.
Adding shortcuts to gd>setting>pages>archive item page. result: new buttons showed ok. Featured buttons did not show.
(I played with several settings in the custom field of featured, among them I tried for example “admin activated” and admin de-ativated in the advanced settings)In the end I tried to also to add the shortcode to the GD Archive Page, so now I have them both on GD Archive Item and GD archive. Thats when the featured button also showed.
This is not in your instructions. Or if it should not be like this, something weird is going on.
Title of the page is instead of “Accomodations” all of a sudden “GD Archive”
And, see attached printscreen 1, description text is showing double and back end code is showing below the items belonging to a listing (I checked all shortcodes if no [] etc was missing, and as far as i could see all was fine. see attached print screen 3
Also printscreen 2. The featured listing button is not showing after the other tabs, but below them and on the detailed page side bar it just says “is Featured: Yes” (or is that ok.)
Thanks for your help
January 23, 2019 at 1:30 am #464829This part in the GD Archive Item will show all custom fields for which you selected “Listings page” at “Show in extra output location”:
[gd_output_location location=’listing’]So there is no need to edit the GD Archive Item or GD Archive pages, you just need to add the Featured field to the “Listings page” at “Show in extra output location”.
Title of the page is instead of “Accomodations” all of a sudden “GD Archive”
Have a look at GD > Settings > Titles & Meta Settings > Archive pages >
Category Title. You should remove any of the extra shortcodes you added to the GD Archive page, they are not required.
If there is anything we need to check out, post your WP admin details in a private reply and we will have a look.
Thanks

category is a required field.
Please add categories to all your listings. Lack of category can cause unexpected behavior.
Let us know once you have fixed that issue and we can take another look.January 23, 2019 at 7:01 pm #465056Hi,
all have categories now. Problem seems to be the same…double description and coding of buttons shows

The double description issue fixed after i disabled description field display on “Listings page” location (From CPT > Settings > Custom Fields > Description > “Show in extra output location”).
For badge issue, please update GeoDirectory v2.0.0.43 to v2.0.0.44 and let us know how it goes.

January 24, 2019 at 4:43 pm #465255Hi Kiran
Thanks for your help. All fixed now!
After working now for some time with the custom fields…
I get the feeling that its better to place the either in listing page OR in detailed listing page and not in both…that is when trouble start…is that true or just cooincidence? Thanks!
January 25, 2019 at 9:54 am #465390They should be able to be displayed anywhere. There was a bug before.
The new GDV2 temtplate system offers lots of options!
