GD Events Add-on vs Alternatives – please help me understand

Very happy with what I’ve seen of Geodirectory, its community and support.

Before I ask my question, please kindly allow me to give some background for clarity’s sake.

Our site will have three directories where users can post and manage their listings from a single login account:

1. A yoga studio directory using Geodirectory
2. A yoga teacher directory using BuddyPress and some other plugins to enable search and filtering of profiles by custom fields
3. A yoga events directory with Eventbrite style functionality

You guys are awesome and so I’d prefer to stick with Geodirectory and use your Events Add-on. However, the GeoDirectory Events Add-on description page is fairly brief and doesn’t really adequately explain all details of what it can and can’t do. You can see by the number of comments asking questions that there is a lot of important information missing from this page.

Would be great if there was a full video walk-through that shows off everything.

So, the purpose of my post is to ask for more information. I’d like to understand the limitations and future plans for the Geodirectory Events add-on so that I can make an intelligent decision on whether or not to use it versus the other options out there such as:

Or, are you planning to allow Geodirectory Events add-on to integrate with some third party solution(s)? Would be great to know the roadmap for your events add-on.
