1. You can remove that area using the custom CSS code below. Just insert into Gd > Design > Scripts > Custom Style CSS

.sd-homepage .featured-area{
    display:none!important;
}

2. Try using this custom CSS code and see if it’s what you’re looking for.

.geodir-post-img .geodir_thumbnail {
    background-size: contain!important;
}

To increase the listing, you should be able to adjust it in the Widget area. If it doesn’t work, kindly share your WP admin access in private reply and we’ll check on it.

Thanks for your reply. I think it’s better that you built your homepage from scratch using a page builder and shortcode https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-shortcodes/. Then assign it as your directory homepage following the instructions here. https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/layout/#home
