Hi – the informal part is welcome. the pain in the derriere isn’t
I know it is next to impossible to fix a problem without seeing it etc, but my site is not static waiting for a solution. I’ve been activating / deactivating options to see what works what doesn’t, so giving you credentials is not practical.
I was just hoping that with 30,000 support tickets you’d have some experience and ‘clues’ why it would behave like that.
I’m considering wiping the network completely and restoring things from scratch. (yes, a lot of work). I probably need a new database. Deactivating/deleting GeoDirectory leaves about 500 instances of it in the DB tables.
With demo data the map was displaying on home page and then it was not loading. While testing reactivating GeoDirectory, clicking buttons in Multilocations to see if that was why, it crashed the network – twice. (VPS with power and high memory settings, low usage).
It seems to be working now, but stability and complexity are major concerns.
