    Hi again,

I checked again truckepedia.co.uk via file manager in your control panel (it’s the same site I checked before) and the geodirectory folder is indeed missing inside the wp-content/languages folder and the translation file for GeoDirectory is not there either.

For sure you have skipped point 4 of the tutorial. I can’t tell what else hasn’t be done because I don’t see the translation file anywhere.

Please follow the 6 steps that can be found below the video (it’s the same 6 points that I pasted in my previous reply). https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translate-core/

I went through that procedure countless times and if followed by the book, it works 100% of times. Unfortunately it is really not possible to make it simpler.

Let us know how you went,

    Thanks

    Hi Paulo,

    I found the mo file.

    I followed these details mistakenly.

    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translating-themes/

I have now followed point 4 from the instruction you kindly sent me.

    Unfortunately, I can’t see – on screen – the edits I made.

Still confused. Clearly I have done something wrong; I just don’t know what it is 🙁

    Any ideas?

    Bests

    Alistair

    Hi AListair
It looked like you did make changes to the PO and MO files after the initial creation, but did not upload the changes again.
I also have removed the UK-English PO and MO file from the plugin language folder, if you leave the files there, they will be deleted in the future.
The UK-English PO and MO files really should only be in the /wp-content/languages/geodirectory folder.
I checked the translations and they work now, see image for an example.

    Hi Guust,

I have changed the term ‘Business Owner’ to ‘Claim Listing’ in my Geodirectory-en_gb file and it has not changed in the website?

    Thx

    Al

    Hi,

that string comes from the Claim Listing add-on. The translating procedure is very similar, but you have to translate the claim listing po file: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translating-addons/

Let us know how you went,

    Thanks
