Whenever I search for anything on my website http://www.brazilianjiujitsu.ie I receive an error (screenshot attached)

I’m not a techie but I’m assuming it’s something got to do with my supreme theme? (this theme is up to date)

My search used to work in GDV1, any and all help would be very appreciated!

All your permalinks have /index.php/ in them, and that seems to be the problem. I cannot fix it, I’ll get a developer to have a look.

    Thanks

    Hello Shane,

It looks like the folders permissions on your site are not correct, or maybe the FTP owner is not the same as the cpanel owner.

Can you check that the folder permissions for /wp-content/ is set to CHMOD 755 for folders & 644 for files.

You can change the owner using ssh or similar, using the chown command. See https://hostupon.com/hosting/knowledgebase/99/SSH-Change-of-Owner-Filesorfolders.html

You should contact your host about the issue. Ask them to help you with the ownership issue.

As per Alex Rollin suggested, I will contact my host about the ownership issue but first I’d like you to undo your changes to my site, please and thanks.

Because now when I use the search function I’m receiving a 404 error. Also, my “clubs” “blog” and “add your club” pages aren’t loading and instead are showing “page cannot be found”

When this is fixed i’ll contact my host about the permissions issues

    Warm Regards,
    Shane Mc Geown.

Those links will work again once the permissions are fixed.
    Or change them temporarily to
    https://brazilianjiujitsu.ie/index.php/blog/
    https://brazilianjiujitsu.ie/index.php/places/
    https://brazilianjiujitsu.ie/index.php/add-your-club/?listing_type=gd_place

The problem is that your system is using /index.php/ in the URLs.

    Hi shane,

Thanks for your reply. Well, the reply from your hosting provider isn’t related to the permission issue. Did you tell them to check on the permission issue with your server files/folders as mentioned above here https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/gd-v2-after-updating-the-search-function-returns-an-error/#post-479752
