    Dear support team,

after changing the settings to restrict wp-admin within GD > settings > general I am not able to edit listings within the frontend.

How to enable the frontend editor to be able to edit listings?

    1. clicking on edit listing should open frontend editor, but instead I got forward to the homepage instead being able to edit the listing.

Did you click Edit under the placeholder author image?
It worked for me, opening the frontend editor.

    Hy Alex,
yes by using the edit below the author then it works. Thanks.

    But
why I am unable to redo the settings for “author” because now I am unable to access into the gd settings to redo those again?

I have restricted with same option as stated in your settings info > https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/settings/
I added also subscriber and editor and now I am unable to re-change the settings in backend even as I am registered as admin.

If I try to get access to that page, I am getting forward back to homepage.

    Hi,
I guess I found the reason why I am unable to access to backend with my admin user credentials. By using a different user and looking into User roles in backend I found that the role of admin has also participant and author included and by deactivating author in GD > general settings this causes the issue of getting forward to homepage instead of backend.

I could solve this by using the plugin “User Role Editor” and deleted the author role setting in user settings in the backend.

    Best, Alex
