Generating Google Maps API key

    When using WP Multisites, can I use the same GOOGLE MAPS API KEY for all sites or do I need to generate one GOOGLE maps API key per site?

    Hello!

    A reminder, GD cannot be Network Activated. It will not function correctly on subsites if it is Network Activated.

    You will need to enter a key into each site, whether you use the same key or not.

    In theory you can use the same key for all the sites, but you will need to adjust the security restrictions on the key to allow for that. That is not the default security settings.

    It would be more secure to create as many keys as are needed within the same Google Console Project, and to restrict each key to the URL where it will be used.
