    hello
I installed the Geo beta and now I am having a few issues
    1. Unlike the previous version I do not a GD home page, i was using a custom page entitled places
    2. When I click on customize where there use to be a center column top middle where I could add widgets such as popular category or list view etc there is none only a sidebar section.
    3. I tired adding short-code to the places page and it continues to list all businesses and there is no adding other widgets like before.
    4. I’m totally lost with this new version, I can post new places and events just fine but the overall page setup has me just sitting here frustrated.

Please do help i can send admin username and password via private message.

    Hi mcclocal,

Thanks for your post. Could you share your Website WP admin access here in private reply so that we could check on it? Also, share some of the screenshot regarding the issues you were facing and we’ll guide you through this.

    Hello,

for an orientation to GDV2 check out the docs. GDV2 works differently, giving you a lot of control through the use of pages and page templates. These are normal WP Pages that you can edit to change your options.

Your questions should be answered by reading the docs, please take a look here:

    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/installation/#convert
#4 Home Page! – In GDV2 you can set any non-GD WordPress page as your home page. You cannot use the Location or Search pages as your home page. You will need to add shortcodes and other content to your GD Home page after conversion if you are using GD Home as your site home page. Read more

    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/getting-started/

To make changes to the archive page template, you can add blocks or shortcode to the GD Archive template. Open your site’s pages and search “GD”
Read more about it here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/page-design/
