Hey there…
Just became a member yesterday and looking forward to using all of the plugins!
I was using the Geodirectory All Importer today and there weren’t any issues uploading my CSV, but now, I’m not sure what to do after it’s uploaded. The places or information isn’t showing up anywhere. I haven’t found any documentation on how to use this plugin or something that walks me through the steps.
Could you please point me in the right direction? Also, a couple of features say that I need All Import Pro. Isn’t that what I received when I paid for my membership yesterday?
Thank you in advance 🙂
BobbyApril 24, 2020 at 6:11 pm #542363Hello,
You can use the built in CSV importer, describe in step by step guide here:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/settings/import-export/Our getting started doc is here: https://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/article/9-setup-wizard
Can you describe what you have done so far? You do not need WP All Import Pro, just the free version.
April 24, 2020 at 6:37 pm #542367Thanks for the reply 🙂
I received all of my downloadable files yesterday and among them was the WP Importer. I downloaded that, it told me that I needed to install the plugin wp all importer. I installed that as well
Then I uploaded a CSV and it went through and identified fields that were unknown and then I hit import. No errors at this point but started taking me through a step process. I wasn’t sure which or what to fill out. And then I got to the end of that and it processed and told me that it was imported. However, I can’t find those listings anywhere. I see the upload and it has an option to manage it, but nothing else. One of the import methods I was trying out was the import from URL. That is the one that said I needed All Import Pro
Whew….sorry for the length.

Yes, it has to be a CSV file as explained here. Could you please zip the file and reattach on your next reply? Also, don’t forget to share your WP login URL.

We can’t open that file, but if you save it in CSV format we can take a look at it.

so, the inputs that are expected are the same as what can be exported.
I recommend that you add a listing to your site and fill all the fields, thenexport it to see what is expected.
The business hours in your sheet, for example, won’t import into the business hours field in that format.
Also the image is in a link and will need to be a file URL like:
Again, if you export a listing you will see the exact format required.
April 24, 2020 at 11:19 pm #542431Okay….I will go in and try that
Also, with my current subscription, am I not able to use the other methods of importing listings? Such as from a URL?April 25, 2020 at 4:25 pm #542503Hey there….
Sorry…haven’t received a reply yet on my last input.
I’m trying to discern the differences between the free version of all import and the paid geodirectory all import plugin.
When I use the plugin, several features still say I need to upgrade even though I have already paid to become a member.Any insight would be appreciated 🙂
April 25, 2020 at 5:57 pm #542524GeoDirectory WP All Import is an addon for WP All Import (Free).
That is a totally optional setup, using WP All Import – GD has a built-in import-export functionality that we recommend if you are unfamiliar with WP All Import.
I am not sure what you mean about messages to upgrade. WP All Import is a 3rd party plugin and may have upsell messaging, yes.
April 25, 2020 at 6:00 pm #542527Thanks Alex….
I just mean that there is the free import and then the pl.ugin that GD offers for $39. (included since I joined with the membership)
I didn’t know what extra features I have as a result of the paid priceApril 25, 2020 at 6:29 pm #542539You can import with WP All Import (free), that is the extra feature.
