GeoDirectory – Version 2.0.0.62
Extra/Divi – Version: 2.24 (new update)Hi,
There seems to be an editor conflict between the newly updated Divi/Extra templates and GeoDirectory. It is causing the templates and sometimes the pages not to load properly. The major issue is loading the search page where the content heading is lost.Image3.jpg with GeoDirectory Deactivated.
Image2.jpg with GeoDirectory Activated.I don’t get any console errors and it’s almost like there’s a CSS conflict in. Also, the post title does not appear in the H1 tags.
Has anyone else come across this or solved the issue?
Thanks,
PeterJune 11, 2019 at 7:08 am #492194We recommend the use of Widgets with Divi
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/integrations/builders/It looks like whatever element is being used is not rendering shortcodes. You can also tr a code block.

I definitely don’t want to put all of our content in to sidebar widgets so will try code blocks to see if it helps.
Do you believe it is also the shortcodes effecting the H1 tags as well as the templates?
It’s a shame as I chose to use the Divi/Extra themes because you said it was compatible. I would have progressed in another template if I’d know it was partially compatible.
June 11, 2019 at 7:43 am #492214Can you say more about the H1 issue? I see titles on those first 2 pages, but maybe you dont?
On the search page I see the title is blank. Have you adjusted the setting in GD – Settings – General – Titles and Meta – Search title
June 11, 2019 at 8:00 am #492226Hi Alex,
Yeah, in the Search box I have:%%search_term%% %%search_near%%
I can write content in there and it shows, however, it is static content and not related to the search.
I notice as well that the dynamic content is also missing int he meta information.June 11, 2019 at 8:16 am #492232Are you seeing all your shortcodes rendering now, then, or switched to widgets?
Please share WP Admin information so we can take a look at the issue with the theme page titles. FTP too in case we need to debug that.

When you click on the search box it automatically suggests various places to you. e.g. near Johannesburg, South Africa.
If you select that and click search then there is nothing populated in to H1.
If you actually type in a location and search the H1 title appears.
Although, an additional suggestion on that would be that you refine the google map auto-complete to limit on the country/region that you have limited the system to… e.g. for me it’s South Africa, however, I get many US/EU addresses showing as I type.
Thanks and hope that helps.
