    Hi Guys,
Many thanks for your support so far… you’ve been very helpful, although we seem to of landed the most demanding client in the world so have more queries. See below:

    1. Listings / results page – Filter by review… Is there an option so end user can filter the results of a search by reviews… (high to low etc). We can see there is an option for this in the backend within the ‘moderation of reviews’ area but not on front end.

    2. How can we edit what goes on this side bar (sidebar.png attached) … none of the widget areas we try seem to be effecting it??

    3. Is it possible to swap these two search boxes around?? (swap.png attached) .. so that the area / postcode comes before the other.

    4. How can we replicate this example site on your demos where they have the catergories (icons) just under the map on listings results page..? (categories.png)

Thanks for your help in advance…

    Tom

    Hi Thomas,

Thanks for writing in. I’ll try to answer your questions accordingly.

    1. I’d like you to refer to this section of the documentation and see if it helps https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-place-settings/#sorting

    2. You can customize the listing sidebar using the Custom Field Options https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-place-settings/#custom

    3. Possible using custom CSS, please provide URL

    4. You can insert category images as shown in this screenshot http://prntscr.com/b0hq1l

    I hope it helps.

    Thanks!

    HI Kor

RE: point 4… yes we have our category images on site already… its more how the Midolothian site had managed to position them under the map and on listings rresults page… was this done all with custom css do you think?

    Hi Kor / Guys
    Sorry another thing…

re: point 1… ok, we’ve set up a (reviews) filtering option for pet shops… but it only seems to work at this link…

    http://petadvisor.co.uk/pet_shops/

if you click on the drop down menu (petshops) in the search bar the review option doesn’t show on the results?? It needs to show on all search results…

    please advise.

    Thanks Tom

    Hi Thomas,

Let me answer the rest of your questions.

    1. Unfortunately, search results cannot be sorted. But you can add custom filters to the search with the Advanced Search addon.

    3. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to be achievable using custom CSS. A workaround would be to replace the search bar template manually using a child theme. Here’s a guide on how to overwrite the GD plugin using child theme https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-geodirectory-templates/

    4. I believe that is created using custom CSS and JS. 🙂

Let us know how it goes.

    Thanks!
