But it worked yesterday…
July 14, 2017 at 9:36 am #387027Hi Pat,
Are you using any plugin related to “pagespeed” or enabled any pagespeed settings from server side?
This breaks the JavaScript files and results in a JS errors.JS file with pagespeed url: https://www.toutwaterloo.be/wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js,qver=1.12.4.pagespeed.jm.pPCPAKkkss.js
JS file without pagespeed url: https://www.toutwaterloo.be/wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js?ver=1.12.4Also it showing Google Map Invalid Key error: “Google Maps API warning: InvalidKey https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#invalid-key”
Please correct these things and let us know how it goes.
Thanks,
KiranJuly 14, 2017 at 9:57 am #387030Hi Kiran,
i used a code in htaccess to place all js in footer whick broke the map, removed it
restored htaccess to previous versionthe map is back
but then how to combine external javascript and reduce loading time?
Thanks for your help, i’m a bi surprised because when “installed” the map was loading…maybe it took some time to be replicated…
Thanks,

You can use either “GD Booster” or “WP Super Cache” caching plugin to reduce load time. Both are fully compatible with GeoDirectory.
GD Booster: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/gd-booster-add-on-overview/
WP Super Cache: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/useful-plugins/#super-cacheKiran
July 15, 2017 at 7:05 am #387148Thanks Kiran,
i tested both solutions, and being afraid of f***ing things up again i came back to GD Booster
when testing with pingdom tools i got this to resolve :
f
0 Parallelize downloads across hostnames
f
5 Combine external JavaScript
e
51 Combine external CSS
c
76 Serve static content from a cookieless domain
c
77 Remove query strings from static resourcesWould you have any hint on how to get this with green lights? We really need specialists help here, Geodirectory and Google Maps being a little heavy to load and it really becomes an issue…
AND i dont want to keep crashing my site twice per week 🙂
Thanks a lot for your help,
PatJuly 15, 2017 at 6:13 pm #387176Hi Pat,
what kind of server is hosting your website? The only thing that can significantly improve a website performance, is a server upgrade.
Caching plugins do what high octane gasoline does, they bring a car to reach its top performances.
That said, if the car normal speed is 120 km/h, you can’t expect to ride at 300km/h, just because you filled it with high octane gas.
Same goes with caching plugins.
I hope this helps.
Let us know,
Thanks
