Google DFP Ads disappear

    Hi Stiofan,

    I’ve got an issue 5-6 months ago that has not been resolved yet.

    1. So basically the DFP ads I have setup shows up for at least a second and disappears.
    2. I tried to disable all plugins. Activate Supreme Directory and the DFP ad works and does not appear.
    3. I found out that if I turn on GEODIRECTORY plugin, that is where the bug occurs.

    4. The AD is located at the right sidebar: below the text “mrec” and above the text “MREC ABOVE”

    5. When Geodirectory plugin is turned on the DFP MREC AD disappears. When GEodirectory plugin is deactivated, DFP MREC AD Appears.

    I can provide credentials needed. Let me know.

    Did you mean to say “does not disappear”?

    You can use the Code Snippets plugin to add a common snippet that will dequeue GeoDirectory Javascript on non-GD pages.

    Hi Alex,

    I’m not sure what you mean. I assume you are telling me to DEQUEUE Geodirectory Javascript?

    1. Does it mean if I de-queue GD Javascript it will fix the issue?
    2. FYI the DFP ads also need to show up on GD Pages. The sidebar is universal means it will need to appear across the site.

    However I will try to do and apply the links you provided. I assume if I apply them on my GD Listings, the GD listings will break.

    3. So basically I need to make the DFP work across the site. DFP works but breaks when I activate GEODIRECTORY.

    Hi Marco,

    The ads becomes invisible when jQuery Autocomplete JavaScript file is loaded. jQuery Autocomplete JavaScript file is loaded via GeoDirectory plugin and that file is in WordPress includes/jquery directory.

    To fix this conflict i have added few lines of code (check function gd_fix_geodir_fix_script_conflict() ) in your child theme functions.php

    Now ads seems working fine.

    Please check and confirm from your side.

    Hi Kiran,

    I initially checked and YES it is working on my side.

    However, I need to check if this fix applies to my other sites and other pages. Will let you know if the fix is working.
