    Hello all
My site is coming along nicely mainly due to the incredible support here. I hope to be less of a pest soon.

My question is in regards to how google Maps names areas. For example I live in the Vancouver, WA area and my address is in Vancouver. The problem is that Google maps shows my address in the community (a census-designated place (CDP) in Clark County, Washington) that I live in rather than the city of Vancouver. My goal is that people can click on a link to “Vancouver area listings” and get all of the listings within X miles even if Google shows the city (region) name as a CDP.

The goal is that as I build out the directory, users can click on a major city and it will show all listings in that area even if google names it something differently.

I hope this all makes sense.

You will need to merge locations, and in the process merge listings IN the locations into the destination location.

    Location A – 1 listing
    Location B -2000 listings

Go to locations tab, find the location in the cities subtab
Select them both, then select merge
    Choose which to merge into
    Merge
    Done

You will need to do that every so often to bring smaller ‘cities’ into larger areas.
