    Hey Geodirectory support team,

I started getting a google API error on the backend of my website. “It’s the OOPS! something went wrong” error

I’ve looked at the JS console and there are a few errors related to Google maps.
    1) I created a fresh API key – this didn’t fix it.
    2) I turned off all other plugins except Geodirectory and that didn’t fix it either

I have no idea what to try next. I’ll include admin login info below if you can take a look.

    Thank you!
    Timothy

One of your other plugins is
    1. Loading an old version of the maps API
    2. Using a no/retired/old/non-working key

You can try disabling non-GD plugins to see which one is causing the error. It is something that interferes on the backend, but not on GD pages on the frontend, it seems. The events page map loads fine, for example, with no errors.

    Hi Alex,
yes, I noticed it’s breaking maps on the backend only. I’ll try disabling non-GD plugins again and see if I can get it fixed. thank you very much!

    HI, Update:
It wasn’t a plugin but my theme. I updated my theme and that corrected the expired API key, but I now have another problem. The maps work on the front end, but break on the backend of my website.

I don’t get the ‘OOPS! something went wrong’ error anymore but now the error says:
“This page can’t load Google Maps correctly.” with a grayed out map. see screenshot attached.

I checked that the API key is correct, billing is set up and not expired.

    the JS console error is:
InvalidValueError: setMap: not an instance of Map; and not an instance of StreetViewPanorama
    _.Jc @ maps.google.com/maps/api/js?&language=en&key=AIzaSyA_LQjUQ5za8340BA-KmViol7F0xMGpCAM&libraries=places:58

I can add Places on the front end but want to get the back end fixed.
    thank you!
    Timothy
