Google Maps Stopped Working in 1.6.4

    I upgraded my sites to 1.6.4 and now the maps is not working.

    Without the api key everything was fine and now after creating the apis and entering them I get this in all of them:

    Google Maps API error: RefererNotAllowedMapError https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#referer-not-allowed-map-error
    Your site URL to be authorized: http://mysite.com/

    I did this yesterday, so the 5 or 15 mins does not apply.

    What to do ?

    Some people seem to be having problems with it, i would try starting over and creating a new key and entering you url correctly again such as: *.mysite.com/*

    Not working in 3 sites, I have a nice error in the homepage…

    Is domain verification needed ?

    Hi PO,

    I just tested for another user and it would not work for *.mysite.com/* i had to also add the vanilla url with no * or / so: mysite.com and then it started working.

    I deleted everything re create them, then add URLS with no ** and its finally loading, BUT.

    http://google-maps-utility-library-v3.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/markerclusterer/images/m2.png

    NOT found.

    So I see the map and no markers at all.

    How to fix that ?

    Did you update the marker cluster addon? Google removed those images so we now serve them from domain.

    Yes, everything is updated and I get “http://google-maps-utility-library-v3.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/markerclusterer/images/m2.png” not found.

    So I have the starting map with nothing showing, no markers for the places.

    You must have cache or something, we don’t reference those links at all anymore.
