    Hi, I would like to know how I can get the big map to show on the category pages like this – http://www.visitmidlothian.org.uk/places/accommodation/. Does this only work if you are using Google Maps? unfortunately I can’t use google maps as it conflicts with my CM Route manager.

    I would also like to know how to change the dollar sign that is displayed before price on the listing page to a pound sign.

    Thanks

    Hi Jonny,

    I’m able to see a map on this page http://www.visitmidlothian.org.uk/places/accommodation/ . Here’s a screenshot for our reference http://prntscr.com/e9cb9q . Did you figured it out? To change the dollar sign, Go to GD > Prices and Payments > GEO DIRECTORY MANAGE CURRENCY

    Thanks!

    I’m not sure what you mean. The site I linked to is an example of I would like the map to look on my site.

    I have changed the dollar sign in the manage currency section but it still shows as a dollar sign when you view a listing. See attached image.

    Hi,

    maps are widgets, you need to add the GD > Gmap Listing page widget in GD Listings top section widget area.

    The second is the default icon for that custom field, you can change the icon in the custom field settings.

    Please see: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-place-settings/

    Let us know how it goes,

    Thanks

    Thanks Paolo I’ve got the map working now but can’t work out how to change the dollar sign. It still shows before the word price.

    Please post a link to a page where we can inspect that.
    Also post your WP admin details in a private reply.

    Hi,

    you need to go to :

    GeoDirectory > Business Settings Double click on the price field and scroll down to:

    Upload icon :
    Upload icon using media and enter its url path, or enter font awesome class eg:”fa fa-home”

    Currently you have : fa fa-usd

    Which is the dollar sign. You can change to any of these: http://fontawesome.io/icons/

    Thanks

    To change the font size of the “category boxes” try this CSS, adjust as required:

    @media only screen and (max-width: 480px) {
    .cat-link, .geodir_link_span {font-size: 12px;}
    }

    Thanks

    Where do I put the css? on my child theme style.css? I tried it there and it didn’t see to change anything. Is there no way of putting the categories in a drop down menu or something like that. They really don’t look good on mobile 🙁

    Yes, child theme’s style.css or GD > design > scripts > CSS.
    In the widget, the categories cannot be changed to a drop down.
