I have searched for information on this but couldn’t find anything but how to add info above the form and how to edit the page itself.. but how do you edit the Add Listing Form?

I need to add and or remove some form fields on the Add Listing Page?

Also I am using multiple Custom Post Types and would like to add a custom form for each CPT. How do I add those additional “Add Listing Pages”?

    Thanks

    Hi riobravomedia,

Thanks for your post. Please allow me to answer your questions accordingly.

    1. You need to edit the “Add Listing” page here https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/templates/add-listing/#intro and insert your contents above it.

    2. To customize the fields, you’ll need to edit it here https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/places/custom/

    3. You can have different fields for your CPT “Add Listing” page but not different CPT “Add Listing” pages.

Kor, Thanks. I found the first link but will explore the second link that you shared.

“3. You can have different fields for your CPT “Add Listing” page but not different CPT “Add Listing” pages.”

So let me clarify. If I have fields specific to “Accommodations” I will NOT be able to have a unique “Add Accommodations” form and visa versa for “Restaurants” and “Businesses”

    Hello,

You can create different add-listing pages. First add a new WP page, then use the shortcode builder to create a gd_add-listing shortcode to specify which post type form you want. If the new page slug is /edit-carousels/ and the post type is gd_carousels then the link to the page should be:

    /edit-carousels/?listing_type=gd_carousels

You will need to link directly to that to have it show the carousel CPT form, if you want to send people there from a menu, for example, to create a new carousel type listing.

Alex, Thank. I don’t understand why the “?listing_type=gd_carousels” at the end of the url.

Let me ask you if this will work.
    1. I create a page called “Add Restaurants”
    2. I add the shortcode “[gd_add_listing post_type=”gd_restaurant” show_login=”1″]” to this page.
    3. I add the new page to the Menu “Add Restaurants”

And same for Businesses and Accommodations.

or do I still need to add the “?listing_type=gd_restaurant” to the end of the url?

Alex, I got it now.. thanks. I created the page as I mentioned above and GD added the rest to the URL

    “/add-restaurant/?listing_type=gd_restaurant”

    Thanks!
