    I want to remove the header image of my website from the GD pages.

    I was able to remove this image from the GD Home page by editing the page named “GD Home Page” (I use the Catch Base theme which provides option to remove image from each page).

    My problem is I cannot find the pages for listing view and details. For example, there is a page named “Listings Preview”, but removing the header image from it has no effect. I could not find any help in the GD documentation.

    So, my question is: how can I hide the site header from all GD pages ?

    Thank you for your help!

    I am not understanding …
    If you are not using a GD theme, then GD does not affect your header at all.
    Headers are part of your theme, so you should ask them.

    Let us know if I misunderstood.
    Thanks

    Hi Guust,

    Let’s forget about the theme for a minute. What’s confusing me is that GD seems to use WP pages (that were created automatically when installing GD) to display certain pages, eg GD Home page, while for Listing Preview or Listing Detail it seems not.

    In other words, I was able to remove the site header image for the GD home page by making changes to the WP page “GD Home Page”. But I don’t see how I can alter the display of CPT Listing or Detail because there is no corresponding WP pages.

    You can have a look if you wish: http://www.amatbelgium.be (see “Annuaire”).

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi Pierre,

    Without actually looking at the theme files i can only give a CSS solution, you can add it under GD>Design>Scripts>Custom style css code

    body.single.geodir-page #header-featured-image{
        display: none;
    }

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

    Hi Pierre

    This explains how GD renders page and how it uses your theme’s header and footer: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/layout/#directory

    If you use a WP page for the homepage of your site, then you should just use the /location/ page for the start page of your directory, not GD Home, see https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/basic-installation/#home

    Thanks

    Hi Guust, in fact, using the GD Home page works better.

    Regarding the theme, I need something very simple. Basically a header with a image and logo, a menu, a content page with either one or two column and a footer.

    My website has basically information pages for the association, then a directory of all the members. So the GeoDirectory is only a part of the website.

    Will one of your theme fit for this purpose ?

    Regards,
    Pierre

    Directory Starter and either of the GD Framework themes should fit the bill:
