    Hi,

1> How to increase the search box in the home page and bring it to last.

Ex: in the screenshot- near me box gone big and in second row but need search box big and in second row.

2> I have just implemented the neighbourhood feature and uploaded one listing in counsellor section marking neighbourhood location. But when we from home page trying to search the same it is not coming.

We mark neighbourhood : gandhi nagar sector 11. — now we search from home page or from listing page the listing with this neighbourhood is not coming.

    pls. help

    Hi Piyush,

Thanks for your reply. I’d like you to know that we do not provide customization services. Anyway, I’ll try to help whenever possible. Could you please tell me exactly how do you want it to look like. I’m not getting your #1 question. Perhaps you can draft out an example?

    Thanks!

The listing URL was not set in that neighborhood. Try adding the neighborhood to the listing address and see if the results change.

About the search subcategory, that would be a customization. You can see the examples we have in the common styling and snippets examples. It is not possible without a customization to create a dependant dropdown for category -> subcategory. It is something we will revisit when working on advanced search for V2, but for now you would need to develop this yourself.

To customize and change the order of the search fields, we have supplied a previous example to get you started here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/change-order-of-fields-in-search-bar/#post-354421

For more info about adding customizations see: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-your-style/

    Hi Piyush,

After running tool from GeoDirectory > GD Tools > Clear All DB Versions, it fixed the saving neighbourhood value.

Now try to save neighbourhood for listings and check in front end near me search.

    Let us know.

    thanks,
    Kiran

    Hi Kiran,

    Thanks it is working.

have one more question regarding neighbourhood.

We have CSV file ready containing neighbourhood and respective cities and country. How to import the list into geodirectory so that it is readymade available for the backend team to add the following from the neighbourhood list or from front end user while uploading the list can select from pre-defined list also.

    Hope you understand the question.

    Hello,

    Please navigate to :

    Geodirectory – Import and Export

There you will find an option to export neighborhoods.
Use this as a template to reorganize your data as needed prior to import.

Be sure all ‘parent’ locations exist prior to import: Countries/Regions/Cities
