How to link a user to a Location or listing

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    Scenario: I create a listing for a friend or client. At some point they create a user profile.
    Now I want to link the listing (location) to their user account so that when they login, they can edit, upgrade etc. the listing.

    How do I go about doing this?

    You can change the author in the backend, down the bottom in the listing.
    You might have to change the user level from subscriber to author temporarily.

    Or you can automate it with the claims addon: https://wpgeodirectory.com/addons/claim-manager/

    I looked at the author field but the user I wanted to change to wasn’t there.
    Changing the user level did the trick.
