How to successfully complete their payment and publish their listing?

    Hi,

    Yesterday we had a merchant apparently hit the back button while adding their listing and prior to clicking on Checkout button and was redirected back to the homepage. Hitting the back button must have caused them to be redirected back to the homepage instead of being taken to the checkout / payment page.

    I can see where there listing is in Draft Mode while logged in as admin. How can they go back to their Draft Mode listing to successfully complete their payment and publish their listing?

    Please explain.

    Hi,

    the procedure of the video is correct.

    I asked to the developers to see why the listings didn’t change status to published.

    The will need a link and admin credentials please.

    Hi Stiofan,

    Let me send an email to our lead developer to see if he did add the hooks or not.

    One other quick question regarding this process. Is it possible for someone to start creating their listing, then save it, then come back at a later time to finish it, pay for it and publish it?

    So far the only way we’ve seen is if someone hits the back button while creating their listing, then when the click on the Pay & Publish button it redirects them back to the homepage.

    Is there a better way to save your work and come back later to pay & publish?

    Hi Stiofan,

    I just got a reply back from our lead developer telling us this…”Step 7 wasn’t.
    It’s now been completed.”

    With this now being completed, will the listings now be published once the Stripe transaction is completed or will we still need to manually publish the listing? What was the purpose of the hooks?

    Please explain.

    It will be published.

    The webhook is used by Stripe to communicate with your website and instruct it about completed transactions.

    Right, but will it publish the listing once the transaction has successfully completed like PayPal does or will we have to wait until the charge is cleared and manually publish the listing? Please explain.

    It works just like paypal, listings are automatically published after payment.

    When I get to the checkout page the stripe gray box appears but there are no fields to populate to complete the transaction. Test keys are in place on my site and webhook is in place at stripe.com.

    Any suggestions?
