How to use the left sidebar

Hi,
I have a site called pokernearme.com.au and on the home page I want to display ‘special events’ (fed from the special event file) in the left sidebar in a vertical line organised by date. I cant figure out where to find a left sidebar widget to do this. Can you let me know how to do this.

Appearance > widgets > Sidebar page.
If you only want to show the widget on the homepage, then use this plugin: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/faq/common-examples/#logic
