Hello!
#1 – Full width – This is a general wordpress setting. If changing the page changed the layout, then that may have to do with the template used for the page. This should be available in a select field on the page. Make sure the settings match the page with the layout you want.
#2 – Setting GD Pages – updated text about that here to say “do not set a single page more than once”. The location page and home page have different settings/behaviors and should not be the same page. https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/layout/#home
#3 – Setting location page widgets – the location page uses the GD Home template widget settings. Whatever widgets are added to the GD Home page widget areas will also appear on the location pages. https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/layout/#directory
#4 – GD Listing Right Sidebar CPT Categories – currently set to hide empty categories, so, some categories will not appear in some cases. Category count is not enabled.
#5 – GD Search Right Sidebar CPT Categories – set to filter for post type, but this is the search page and shows all post types.
#6 – Empty Category counts – Please send a link to an example page.
April 11, 2018 at 4:30 pm #4260451- page was set to full width, I even disabled right side bar to see if it helped. All GD homepage widgets appeared on my homepage also. I use elementor and directory starter theme. Conflict?
2-3- As above, the widgets appeared on my homepage not location page.
4- I disabled cat count and select don’t show empty as it says they are all empty.
5- found a post that told me that but thanks.

I’m at work so can’t do a before and after, that link shows hotels listed yet the category widget does not show.
If you have the time and can copy one of the hotel names, go in to my holiday CPT search for it, edit and then update you will see the link above suddenly shows all hotels in Nottinghamshire via the CPT cat widget showing.
Thanks.
April 11, 2018 at 4:35 pm #426046The cpt cat widget is active top right sidebar.
Here’s one I edited and updated before I came to work.

Another example, before I came I edited and updated a beach which showed all in an Orkney search but I missed the historical one so that does not show in the CPT category widget yet.
I need to edit update all listings though as that only enables the ‘orkney’ section of the location.
https://www.caninedirectory.co.uk/holidays/united-kingdom/orkney/evie/
That is a beach in evie, shows on Orkney searches as one of the beaches and shows as part of the count on the CPT cat widget.
But when I search for in evie it does not show as 1 beach listing in evie, the CPT widget shows I have none.
But if I went into the evie beach listing, edit-update the CPT cat would show 1 beach.
It’s a really strange bug.
April 11, 2018 at 5:06 pm #426054Did you set the GD – Permalinks -> Location to a different page?
Your location pages will not ‘work’ if the Permalinks are not set correctly.
April 11, 2018 at 5:06 pm #426055Just notice, about a week ago I did it for a few areas. London being one.
Sunday I exported all my listings and imported them into new cpt’s and categories, doing that has reset London and it no longer shows in the CPT cat widget.
So I’m guessing if I change urls it would have the same effect and zero that widget again.
It’s not just the widget, I had a play with the gd home map and that shows no listings.
Could it be to do with location searches as the search bar shows all listings even when you do an in Nottinghamshire search as shown above.
It’s the CPT category widget and the gd homepage map.
Thanka.
April 11, 2018 at 5:07 pm #426056Gd permalink location page was in the location page slot.
All I did was chose ‘homepage’ in the set gd homepage drop down instead of the location page.
April 11, 2018 at 5:11 pm #426058I see your permalinks are still set with GD Home -> Location and Location -> Location.
That is why the location pages are not working.

Think I understand you, I changed gd homepage – my homepage.
Location – location
That’s what messed my homepage up and it never corrected my cpt cat widget as I checked.
April 11, 2018 at 6:03 pm #426076Something else I notice.
Our default location is Lincoln – Lincolnshire.
Sometimes when I add a listing the address default is a different location to that.
Only just remembered and as all this is location related. That and my sitemap not showing location pages.
Thanks.
April 11, 2018 at 6:05 pm #426077OK, let us know how it goes.
April 11, 2018 at 6:43 pm #426087Have you no idea what’s causing the issue then?
Thanks.
