i cannot edit my listing post and event post in backend
also the text is mess up in the back endAugust 29, 2018 at 2:13 am #444416Hi Michael,
Thanks for your reply. Looks like the “Google Map” is not loading correctly on your backend. Could you go through this article and see if it helps? https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/add-google-api-key/ . If the issue persists, share your WP admin access in private reply and we’ll check on it.
Thanks!

It looks like the footer is broken and that is why all our JS are not loading and causing an issue in edit listing page. Can you please provide us with FTP details in private reply to troubleshoot the issue?

The problem is due to theme and our GD plugin conflict which causes issues. If you want then I can make a small change in the theme’s file to fix this which you need to do whenever theme updates.

and thanks for taking care of this and making the change. Please tell me, what I will have to do to, to also fix this in the future.
Thanks,

for doing this… it seems that the tags and also the map and the description in the backend work as they should now.
But when I just checked my site, I saw that somebody also made changes on my url-settings in WP-Geodirectory. I have setup a custom page as the landing page for Events called /events. As this is the default slug for the events page in your setting, I changed the slug to /event-list, which used to work about a week ago. Now, when I click on /events, the default page shows up.
And there is a second issue… I added the link https://presenter.world/add-listing/?listing_type=gd_event as “Add Event” link in my menu. This worked as well, when I set it up, but now it sends people to that homepage on https://presenter.world. Why that?
Thanks,
MichaelSeptember 6, 2018 at 5:18 am #445552Hello,
/events/ slug is reserved for the GD Events addon and that event page. Setting another page to that slug will cause a conflict. I reset your WP Page to events-list and it seems to work now, take a look.
About adding events from the frontend, there is a setting that needs to be adjusted at:
GeoDirectory – Design – Navigation – Allow post type to add from frontend
Set ‘Events’ here if you want to alow them to be added from the frontend.
I hope that answers your questions. If you have new questions please feel free to open a new topic.
September 6, 2018 at 8:20 am #445572Hi Alex,
and thanks for looking into this… I am wondering why this all changed, because it has worked before.
I had the page on /events and it worked. So it felt strange, that it stopped working from one day to another.
And, I already had the settings for adding new events on the frontend set the right way, but they seemed to have disappeared.Did somebody change that manually while working on fixing the other issues or do settings get overriden by updates as well?
September 6, 2018 at 12:31 pm #445609I am not aware of any other changes made to your site, and these changes would/should not have been made during a plugin update.
