I have been trying for days to figure this out…I’ve followed all your postings, and no luck. On my site http://www.studyabroadmap.com https://www.studyabroadmap.com/where-to-go/ I have have been trying to have results sorted with “Featured” first, and “Random” second. I have set this up in the post settings under sort, and it doesn’t work. Results always load the same way, chronologically. Do you think you could take a look? I have spent so much time trying to figure it out. I don’t understand what is the archive page….when I go there, nothing shows up.
October 27, 2019 at 12:59 am #514989Certainly, we can take a look.
Which page, the front page?
That using GD Listings, did you select your custom sort there?Did you already add the sort you want?
And you added GD Listings with that sort selected? If we need to check the settings please share WP Admin credentials in a private reply and a URL for the page we should check.
October 27, 2019 at 1:19 am #514990Can you please post your WP Admin details in a private reply, then we can check your settings.
ThanksOctober 27, 2019 at 2:13 pm #515031This reply has been marked as private.October 27, 2019 at 4:50 pm #515034Also, I can’t change the title on this page…I put “Get on the Map” but it reads “Add Post” https://www.studyabroadmap.com/add-listing/?listing_type=gd_place
October 27, 2019 at 6:16 pm #515046You are using a default GD Listings shortcode on the frontpage.
Try using the shortcode builder to create the GD Listings shortcode with the features you want.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/shortcode-builder/
Before you create the GD Listings shortcode, first create the sort you want, then you can select that when you create the GD Listings shortcode.

About the add listing page title, you can hide the main title with this CSS:
body.page-id-4 h1.entry-title { display: none!important; }I added an HTML block with an H1 for you on the page.
October 27, 2019 at 8:00 pm #515057I went to the page https://www.studyabroadmap.com/where-to-go/ and looked for a shortcode editor. All I found was a wordpress thing called shortcode with this sign [/]. I cut and paste the short codes that were in the code into the boxes. I looked at the links you sent and don’t understand what else to do…can you give me a little bit more detail, I feel like I’m missing something, and once I understand I’ll be able to figure it out.
October 27, 2019 at 8:40 pm #515059You can install the classic editor to make it easier to find the shortcode editor.

October 27, 2019 at 10:26 pm #515069I updated the shortcode on https://www.studyabroadmap.com/where-to-go/
The expanded sorting is for category pages like
https://www.studyabroadmap.com/posts/category/location/It looks like you got the Add Listing page sorted?
https://www.studyabroadmap.com/add-listing/?listing_type=gd_placeThanks
October 28, 2019 at 2:09 am #515076I see the code is different on https://www.studyabroadmap.com/where-to-go/ but it’s definitely not sorting featured first. The featured program is showing last and every time I load the page it just sorts in chronological order in which it was added. My goal is to have it sort featured first and random sort. What is that code supposed to look like. In the Settings I have identified what I want in sorting, so I don’t understand why it’s not working. Thanks.
