On GT we ended up having to purchase and use the Events Calendar Pro plugin in lieu of the GT Events Calendar feature because our merchants are so lazy they would not post anything on our Events Calendar, it’s sad but true!
So we bypassed the GT Events Calendar feature / option and purchased and setup the Events Calendar Pro plugin and told our merchants that we will automatically import their events from their Facebook page for them…just so that our events calendar was not empty!
Now they love it because all they have to keep up with is one calendar, which is their business Facebook page calendar. I see a lot of great options and features on the new GD events calendar but we can only have one calendar to keep down the confusion.
So based on the proven fact that people are lazy and don’t want to keep up with a bunch of different calendars, is there any way to setup the GD Events Calendar to automatically import events from business Facebook pages and allow the option to manually post events? If so, you’d have a goldmine and corner the directory website market space! Please let me know.
Also, if you do not currently have this and would like the login to our Events Calendar Pro setup, features and options on how theirs work, please let me know and I will provide our login for you to examine how theirs works.
It’s frustrating because it seems we can either have the events automatically imported for the majority of lazy business owners or we have to allow for manual event postings with GD’s great features. BUT YOU CAN’T HAVE BOTH! WTF!
