I just discover that the UTC Time is incorrect in all my places. It says “This will be added automatically after adding address”. it is not. All of them have +1, which is incorrect.
Where can I add a default UTC time? All my places have the same, but having to go manually to edit all and have to remember to change the time in each one of the new ones is not good.
Thanks.
August 26, 2019 at 2:14 pm #504927You can adjust the site timezone.
To change previous places you can use import export. Export the listings, edit, re-import.

August 26, 2019 at 2:18 pm #504929The timezone is based on the address, not the server, not what I believe, and not…
If I enter a place in Canada, the timezone should be for Canada.
With this you are telling me that I will have to enter manually all the timezones, all the time and for all the places?
Thank you.
August 26, 2019 at 3:23 pm #504949I have been informed that the entry is for the timezone offset of the place from UTC, not including BST or DST.
August 26, 2019 at 4:13 pm #504958And it is not working by address, you have to enter it manually.
That is the problem I have.
Can you please confirm this value has to be entered manually and it is not working automatically as it says?
Thank you.
August 27, 2019 at 6:36 am #505066The developers say that, to make the automatic insertion of timezone offset in business hours work that a google maps API key is needed, the second key that is for Geocoding. That key should not have http referrer restrictions. It is not used on the frontend and not exposed on the site.
If there is an issue, we can take a look. Please share WP Admin so we can check on your site. This isn’t a known issue so it must be something going on with your site.

August 27, 2019 at 9:45 am #505106I believe I found that the problem is when saving a place (draft or publish) before enabling time.
If you add a new place, enter the address, then change open time to yes and then save, it changes to the correct time zone.
If you add a place, text, images, address, everything and leave time to off and save, the time zone stays as default and does not change.
Which is a problem.
If you come back later to add the open time, the time zone is incorrect in all places.
Time zone should change always based on the address if time is enabled or if is not when saving.
Thanks.
August 27, 2019 at 7:13 pm #505199That will only happen with the API key in place. Are you using the Google maps API key? If so please share WP Admin credentials and we can check on your site.
Thanks

I don’t understand.
If you save with open time OFF it uses default time zone +1, if you save with open time ON it uses the address time zone.
Why that has something to do with the API?
It should always use the address time zone.
Thanks.

September 5, 2019 at 7:04 am #506502Hi There,
We uses Google Timezone API service to retrieve timezone based on address selected.
When business hours is off then it means listing is not using business hours, so it is not updating business hours & timezone. But if business hours is ON then after saving listing then user have option to edit timezone. That’s why we have provided input to enter timezone manually from user(if user want).
In short this is normal behaviour.Let us know.

September 5, 2019 at 7:38 am #506506The problem is that autosave runs and then you have your place with time off and an incorrect timezone.
If you save a draft the same, incorrect timezone.
If you come later to add a open and close time to any place, again, incorrect timezone.
So you have to actually “add place”, enter address, run to hit time on and save. Which makes no sense.
Why not having it always towards the address, even after save?
If I have a published place with no time, if I turn on time and hit save, the timezone is not updated, why ?
Thanks.
