I have purchased the Stripe addon through ThemeTailors, but I’m not able to access that support forum, so I’m posting here – hopefully you can shift it to that forum.
(Perhaps I should’ve known that there was a problem when I was not able to do an automatic update through the dashboard of the site?)
We have the Stripe add-on installed, and I have double checked the configuration. The first transaction that try to go through was yesterday, and while the listing did show up as a draft in the admin dashboard, it does not appear that any payment got sent to Stripe.
The website is here: https://wpgeodirectory.com.
When I click the troubleshoot button under the Stripe payment settings, it only opens up a dialogue confirming a change. Nothing else happens.
What can I do to troubleshoot the Stripe add-on not working?
I have double checked that the API keys and webhook are correct, Stripe is active in GeoDirectory, and in Live (not test) mode.
I see that there is now another update since this morning (to 1.5.4) when I updated to 1.5.3. Does that mean that there have been some issues identified and corrected with the updates?
September 3, 2015 at 10:22 pm #51853You need to re-sync your account every time you buy a new addon.
The prices and payment addon and core have been updated, so you will need to update everything; all versions have to be the latest.
Let us know how you are getting on, and if you still have trouble, post your URL and admin details.September 4, 2015 at 5:23 pm #51948Please point me to instructions about how to re-sync my account so that I will be able to do automatic updates.
I have been keeping GD and all add-ons updated–I’m pretty focused about keeping all my sites updated.
The client is just getting started with trying to solicit listings, so we have not had a chance to retest if Stripe payments are working now.
It is possible that the listing that had no associated Stripe payment used a coupon, but I’m not seeing anything on the listing in the Listing Transactions area — no payment, no coupon, nothing. See attached image. Shouldn’t there be SOMETHING in this box?
September 4, 2015 at 5:31 pm #51951I’m just seeing a new update to the GeoDirectory Payment Manager, to 1.3.1, but the version that is downloading from Theme Tailors is still version 1.3.0
September 4, 2015 at 7:39 pm #51969Just go to your profile page :
https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/members/bethannon/
and click on ThemeTailors Sales: Sync forum access again.
1.3.1 has just been released because in 1.3.0 there was a tiny bug. I’ll update it on Theme tailors in the next few minutes, however you ahve synced already for the Prices and Payments add-on, so you should be able to auto update it.
If you provide a URL to the website, wp admin credentials and your forum credentials here in a private reply, I can have a look and do all this for you. In case it doesn’t work, I candirectly check why.
Let us know,
Thanks

sorry I missed that part.
The user didn’t complete the payment. He went to Stripe (or paypal), changed his mind and went back. That leaves the listings as unpaid and in draft status.
So that if the user decides to come back and pay, he can proceed without having to start over.
What is strange is that it should create an unpaid invoice and you didn’t ahve an invoice at all. In my demo it does create an invoice, however I’m not sure it is working exactly as I’d expect it to, as it was marked as paid.
I’ve ask to Stiofan to jump in and do some testing to make sure this isn’t a bug.
Thanks

September 4, 2015 at 10:14 pm #52000Paolo & Stiofan,
The listings are SUPPOSED to be entered in draft form– the client requires a manual approval of them before making them published.
AND, the user MAY have used a coupon, but I’m still checking on that.
September 4, 2015 at 10:20 pm #52001Hi,
regardless your setting to have listing sent to Draft, this is how GeoDirectory behaves when a User skip the payment. Listing goes to draft and it is set as unpaid.
If a coupon was used, there should still be an invoice, mentioning the coupon. The developer of prices and payments will have a look at it in a few hours when he comes online and Stiofan is alerted too.
Thanks
September 4, 2015 at 11:06 pm #52005Thanks!
BTW, still not able to do automatic updates for Payment Manager from the dashboard…
This is the error I get:
An error occurred while updating GeoDirectory Payment Manager: Login details for GeoDirectory failed! Please check GeoDirectory>Auto Updates and that your membership is active. Internal Server ErrorNEVERMIND: just thought to try re-saving my license key after re-syncing my account. The license key must change, right? Once I did that, the update went through normally.
September 5, 2015 at 10:05 am #52035Have you tried this with the new payment manager and new stripe? There was some big changes in both of these, if you updated one and not the other then that could be the problem.
Thanks,
Stiofan
September 5, 2015 at 2:38 pm #52059Hi Bet,
the licence key has been added last week to avoid asking to users to save their forum credentials.
I’m glad that it solved the problem. Resyning shouldn’t change your key, but it will update your key with any new addons ordered.
Thanks
