    Hi,

I’m having an issue – the way pages with my theme usually look is not how it looks for the GeoDirectory pages. The main content are is not styled the same (white background with a blue bar).

I will post a follow-up private message here in a second with screenshots of what it normally looks like, and then a screenshot of what it looks like for GD. Because I use a DiviBuilder theme, and GD doesn’t seem to be compatible with that, I’m having trouble figuring out how to make modifications or apply this style to the GD pages.

    I use V2.

    Thanks!
    Megan

    Hi Megan,

Thanks for your post. Sorry, I’m not getting this. Both pages that you’ve shared looks fine. What exactly are you looking for?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Sorry! The second one (the one with the GD search) does not have the same style as the first. In the first one (my terms & condition page, which existed before installing GD) the main content area has a white background with a blue top bar/line (and the main content area isn’t 100% full width).

In the GD search page, there’s no white content block with a blue bar – it’s just all the light blue color.

I can’t find a way to recreate the look of the terms & conditions page (which is how all of my other pages on my website look because that’s how my theme is set up).

    Hope that helps?

Also, I’m trying to get a GD sidebar to appear on the page that shows the details of the individual listing. even when I have designated a sidebar, no sidebar appears (screenshot shows having designated a sidebar, which I’ve created and added the shortcode to it for the GD sidebar).

Sorry for all of the questions – I’m reading through all of the documentation, but just really struggling.

I basically would like mine to look like the Supreme Directory theme, particularly the details page. However, I do not want to install/activate the Supreme Directory theme sitewide because I’m using a different theme.

Is there an easy way to do this, so I do not have to make all of these modifications manually?

That requires customization and few hours of work. Either you install Supreme or you’ll need to hire someone to copy the supreme template and make it work within your theme.

    Thanks

    Okay, thanks.

For the sidebar issue, am I doing something incorrectly?

I’m also finding that no matter what changes I make to the GD Details (template) page or Locations page (add/remove shortcodes), nothing changes on the details page for the listing. Is that not the right place for modifying those pages?

I’ve made updates to the place tabs, and that’s showing up, but now there’s some duplicate information that seems to be coded into the template itself (displaying the category) and I want to hide that.

I am not familiar with that sidebar manager. Does your theme offer templates, in a section like shown here:

No, it doesn’t look like it.

Plan B: Do you have someone to recommend that could be hired to make some custom modifications? I’ve got a clear list of specific things that we’d like to have tweaked. This is for a personal side project with a friend, but I’m on a tight deadline and didn’t realize this would be so hard to modify…so I’d be interested in seeing what someone would charge, but would rather it be someone who is already familiar with this plug-in.

Could it be a cache issue? Do disable all cache while making changes to your templates.

About the sidebar on the details page, we aim to make GDV2 work with any theme. If your theme has a reasonable treatment for posts and sidebars there shouldn’t be a problem.

Please share WP Admin credentials and FTP in a private reply so we can take a look.
