I've just bought a GD membership – how do I enter the API key into GeoDirectory?

    Hello.

    I’ve a couple of issues. I have bought a membership for GeoDirectory and would like to enter my newly obtained API key into the GeoDirectory plugin, but cannot find where in the plugin you enter this information.

    I also tried to install the advanced search plugin, but it refuses to be activated, saying “There was an issue determining where GeoDirectory Plugin is installed and activated. Please install or activate GeoDirectory Plugin.”

    Please help.

    Hi Andrew,

    Thanks for your post. You need an API Key for your Google map as explained here https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/integrations/google/ . Then, activate your plugins as explained here https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/addons/installing-addons/#licensing

    You can enter your membership key at

    GeoDirectory – Extensions – Membership (tab)

    The Memembership key will also work for updates, but only for plugins installed through the Extensions page (it is not retroactive for plugins installed through Plugins -> Add New).

    Hello Kor & Alex.

    Thanks for your replies, Alex’s response was exactly what I was looking for.

    Now that I’m able to install extensions as intended, I have a change request – when you’ve added a membership license key, I feel the extensions tab shouldn’t show the message “From: $39” next to each item, it’s misleading and implies it still costs that much despite having a membership.
