Hi all,
Apologies for driving you all mad.
Perhaps you can help me with something.I was having a problem the other day with Advanced Search, which turned out to be a conflict between Yoast Local and (I assume) Location Manager.
Once I resolved this issue with your help one of my listings is showing a 404 Page Not Found error.
I can see the listing in the backend and edit it but the front end says Page Not Found.List URL:
https://www.irishpubhub.com/pubs/ireland/county-dublin/dublin-6/the-laurels-2/Hoping you have some wisdom into this.
You have admin access to my site which I will reshare in a private post next.
Thanks in advance
Shane

For some reason its working again.
I didn’t do anything, it just resolved itself???
February 20, 2019 at 11:16 pm #470256I fixed your default location, you had not set a default location before activating the Location Manager it seems.
I cannot get it to work, unless you add the category in the URL:
https://www.irishpubhub.com/pubs/ireland/county-dublin/dublin-6/irish-pub-99-1/the-laurels-2/I’ll get the developers to have a look why the WP Permalink cannot be set to “Full location”, without the category.
Thanks

Strange one though as every other listing I checked worked fine.I had tried resetting permalinks and even looked at the mod_rewrite in htaccess and nothing happened, and then it resolved. I must assume that was your handywork? 🙂
February 21, 2019 at 2:08 pm #470344Hello Shane,
I have checked and found that it happening with city “Dublin”. I checked cities lists in backend GeoDirectory > Settings > Locations > Cities and there are many cities like Dublin, Dublin 1, Dublin 2 etc… Are they same or different cities?
Please provide FTP credentials so we can do some debugging. also provide phpMyAdmin access to check locations data and post/categories slugs.
Thanks,
KiranFebruary 21, 2019 at 9:44 pm #470470Hi Kiran,
No, these are Post/Zip Codes in the same city.
Ireland, especially Dublin is awkward this way as until only a few years ago we didn’t have post codes with the exception of Dublin city, which are as you state is divided into Dublin 1 – Dublin 24.
Then we have County Dublin, which is the area of the county outside the city…Its a real pain and Google still geocodes it this way.
Do you still need FTP access?
BTW, that Page Not Found issue is still happening.
A few other listings have shown as not found, and then later they appear again.
As is intermittent is harder to track the cause.https://www.irishpubhub.com/pubs/ireland/county-dublin/dublin-6/the-laurels-2/
is showing as not found again.February 21, 2019 at 9:50 pm #470471This reply has been marked as private.February 21, 2019 at 10:28 pm #470475This reply has been marked as private.February 21, 2019 at 11:00 pm #470479I need to figure out how to do that.
I have multiple client databases accessed through my account.
Never needed to grant phpMyAdmin access to a single database before.February 21, 2019 at 11:57 pm #470497This reply has been marked as private.February 22, 2019 at 11:49 am #470563This reply has been marked as private.February 22, 2019 at 12:14 pm #470567This reply has been marked as private.February 22, 2019 at 12:22 pm #470574This reply has been marked as private. -
