    Hi,

after password reset and login the site take the user to /author/?geodir_dashbord=true&stype=gd_place.
    Which is 404 page.

Where do i make changes to make it go to either homepage or to some other page?

    Thank you in advance

    Hello!

Geodirectory does not have a feature for redirection on login, and uses default WordPress behavior.

The link you reference does not look complete. Normally there should be a username like:

    author/username/?geodir_dashbord=true&stype=gd_place

This would take the logged in user to the page that shows a list of their current listings of type gd_place.

I recommend you take a look at your functions.php and snippets for any snippets that might be causing that redirection. For example, do you have a snippet that looks like this: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/redirecting-the-login-page/

Try disabling your snippets and reverting to the stock theme functions.php to see if that changes the redirect.

If managed redirection for login, and improved profiles, if those are something you are looking for, we recommend you try our UsersWP plugin, which is free and available here: https://userswp.io

UsersWP integrates with Geodirectory to provide user profiles as well as Register and Login forms.

The next step is to perform a conflict test. Please disable non-GD plugins and your snippets one by one to determine which one is causing the issue. If you still can’t find it, certainly we can take a look. Just make a private reply with the following details and we can see what the issue is.

URL where we can see the active link that is causing the issue:
Additional steps needed to create the issue

    “WordPress Credentials
    WP Admin Login URL:
    WP Admin Username:
    WP Admin Password:

FTP is optional, but can be very helpful
