Dear people,
I urgently need help. Though though after update on V2 there is still the central management Widgets, but the central management GD-sections in which the Widgets are assigned, are away. There appear the Sidebar-Widgets of the normal sides from the central management pages. What can I do against it?April 19, 2019 at 9:29 am #481731GD V2 does use the sidebar of your Porto theme.
Please review https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/personalize/Thanks
April 19, 2019 at 10:23 am #481738Thanks Guust for your quickly answer. But this does not help me. I have read everything and have understood the draught. The following questions:
1. If I put the location side in the setting on my list homepage, it remains empty. If I do not put this setting, central management is also indicated.
2. How I can assign the Widgets without central management sections
3. How I can edit the Template of the homepage of the central management, so, for example, the Sidebar-Widgets
Thanks a plumb line for your supportApril 19, 2019 at 10:55 am #481746Why can one assign to the side no suitable GD-Template if one edits the side (for example, GD-Startseite/location)? This would be logical for me. Or has the installation of the Templates not maybe functioned? I have completely uninstalled central management yet once and have installed anew. But the same problems appear. I do not understand this.
April 19, 2019 at 11:18 am #481751Other problem:
On the location page becomes in the single entries and categories verlinkt. Everything these sides also do not function. I am really helpless here 🙁http://www.sandstein-concept.de/zertifizierte_installateure/
April 19, 2019 at 11:52 am #481759Hello,
Yes, as Guust says, you can add widgets to other sidebars, and you can also add GD elements to WP Pages.
Please read the docs here:

https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/getting-started/
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/upgrade-from-gdv1/Here is a page about creating a front page
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/getting-started/front/April 19, 2019 at 12:15 pm #481761Hello, Alex, you have really read my Posts? Many thanks for the great links which knows of course in themselves and whose contents I have also read. I have read the Docs. I understand the draught and in version V1 everything ran excellently. Nothing goes almost to V2 after the update! Hence, the reference to your Start-Tutorials do not help me. Result please of the URL of my last Posts and does not say me why all that any more functions. I would also like to have no GD-Widgets on my normal WP pages. I would like to have GD-Widgets exclusively on central management pages, as well as it was before in V1. Under "design”-> "Widgets”; I can assign the Widgets just not to the suitable GD-Templates, because these central management sections are not indicated at all. . . see Sceenshoot of the first Postings. . .
April 19, 2019 at 12:48 pm #481774Hello,
Please clarify. What do you mean by:
Why can one assign to the side no suitable GD-Template if one edits the side (for example, GD-Startseite/location)
What is ‘central management’?
I would like to have GD-Widgets exclusively on central management pages
You can restore V1 with a backup. V2 is different.
You said
Nothing goes almost to V2 after the update!
This is an extremely imprecise description and is answered with general support.
If you have an issue please send us a link to the specific issue and describe the problem in a way that we can understand.
April 19, 2019 at 1:05 pm #481782Please try adding a GD widget to your theme’s sidebar, and look at the settings. The widgets will not show on your normal pages unless you choose to.
Please post your WP admin details in a private reply and we will point out how to solve your problems.
Thanks
PS: added correct image
April 19, 2019 at 1:23 pm #481787Hello…
“Why can one assign to the side no suitable GD-Template if one edits the side (for example, GD-Startseite/location)”
I think, it shold be possible to select a GD-Site-Template by settings in the sidebar on page-editor. The Drop-Downbox names “Site attributes” -> Tepmplate“I would like to have GD-Widgets exclusively on central management pages”
In WP-settings: “Design” -> “Widgets” in V1 i was able to connect GD-Widgets to the serveral GD-site-areas like “Top-Main” or so alike … In V2 in the widget management there are no more site areas like “Top-Main” (on the right side) already, however, the widgets on the left side are there.“Nothing goes almost to V2 after the update”
Links to the category-sites like “http://www.sandstein-concept.de/places/category/flexibler-marmor-installateur/” doesnt work 🙁April 19, 2019 at 2:21 pm #481800This reply has been marked as private.April 19, 2019 at 11:42 pm #481857And can i remove the “normal”-widgets from GD-sites?
You can install the Widget Logic plugin, see more info here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/faq/common-examples/#logic
Please post your WP admin details in a private reply so we can check the location page problem.
