Hi – prior to today whenever you clicked the ‘What’s Near Me’ button on my map it would automatically zoom in to your location and show the listings. Now it’s stopped doing that (I haven’t changed any of the settings), the listings still appear below the map (distance order) but the map no longer zooms in and stays at the country-wide level?
(Using GD version 1.5.3)
Thanks

Sounds like a local caching issue, try deleting your stored geolocation approval:

So when you tried, did your map zoom into the Brisbane area? Mine just stays on the whole of Australia even though the listings underneath are in distance order to my location. This used to work perfectly fine before so it’s starting to annoy me as I don’t know what’s changed…
Cheers
November 1, 2015 at 10:03 pm #58724Did you also clear your cookies and the geolocations as per https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/faqs/how-can-i-clear-geo-location-settings/?
The map recenters fine for me, see image.November 3, 2015 at 1:07 am #58833Hi Guust – I’m glad it’s working for you but it’s still not right for me (yes I’ve cleared cookies as suggested), I also got another user in VIC to try it on their phone (they’ve never visited the site before) and the map does not zoom in either? 🙁
November 3, 2015 at 2:59 am #58843Can you post your admin details please.
I am not real sure how to help you (except flying to Melbourne 🙂 ) but I’ll have a look at your settings and then check with Paolo or Stiofan.November 3, 2015 at 7:53 am #58857This reply has been marked as private.November 3, 2015 at 7:14 pm #58916Hi,
I was able to recreate this on your website by faking my location with Chrome and made it see me as if I was in Melbourne.
Not sure why this is happening though. I need to ask to Stiofan to have a look for us.
Thanks for your patience,
November 4, 2015 at 12:44 am #58957Ok – thanks for the update.

November 14, 2015 at 4:03 am #60124Hi Stiofan – I’ve just completed the GD updates but the issue still isn’t resolved, in fact it’s actually got worse because now when you first visit the site the map doesn’t even show up?! (see attached).
The map only appears when you click on ‘What’s Near Me?’ (and even then it doesn’t zoom in to the listings within that location) 🙁
Thanks
November 14, 2015 at 6:14 pm #60181Hi,
you didn’t have the Home page selected as per new requirement in:
GeoDirectory >> Permalinks
and
Settings >> ReadingNew GD Home page created and setting depreciated for overriding normal home page – CHANGED
You will also see a notice for it in GeoDirectory >> Desing >> Home.
I fixed that for you. Please have a look now.
Let us know,
Thanks
