Map no longer zooming in on 'near-me' location?

    Hi – so the map now shows on the home page again (thanks for fixing).

    But the map still doesn’t zoom in when you click on ‘What’s Near Me’ so the original problem still isn’t fixed, PLEASE can someone help fix it? (I’ve cleared all the cache/history etc on my browser when I retried). It’s doing my head in now as it used to all work perfectly 🙁 🙁

    Hi GD Team – don’t mean to pester but I was wondering what the status is with this unresolved issue please? I’m planning to do some promotion of my website but I can’t whilst it’s not functioning properly…

    this seems to work in some places but not others, can you please provide FTP and i will double check things.

    Hi again – apologies, it’s still not 100% correct…

    When you first go to the website and it asks users whether they want to be geo-located, clicking yes still doesn’t zoom the map (so when it’s http://kidsandplaces.com.au/location/me/ the map still shows nationwide but the listings below show for the local area), it’s only if you click on the ‘What’s Near Me?’ button that the map will actually zoom.

    It used to automatically zoom into the map once you allowed geo-location/share my location? Can you help resolve please?

    Hi,

    This is a server specific problem, i am not sure why but this is what is happening:

    #1 server sets session saying it’s in the location/me/ page
    #2 the listing “National Gallery of Victoria” has a broken image which is rendering a 404 page but also unsetting that session (it does not do this if called direct, only if called on the page.
    #3 the ajax then fires to ask for the markers and it checks if it’s on the location/me/ page but it thinks it’s not as the session is gone.

    I simply deleted the broken images from that listing and it works, but i tested on 2 different servers and this does not happen on my servers even if there is a broken image, so it seems to be very server specific.
