I’m working on a fresh install of WordPress 4.8.3, and I just installed this directory. I ‘m LOVING it, but I can’t seem to get the map to appear in the listing. It will show up just fine and pinpoint the business in the admin panel when I’m adding a Place, but not in the public listing. Is there something I’m missing? I’ve disabled all other plugins, and tried a couple of different themes, including Twenty-Seventeen. I’ve also tried to view it from Internet Explorer, Chrome & Firefox. I’ve gone over my settings, but again, I’m new to Geodirectory. This is my site and there should be a map for these guys:

    Hello!

A couple things you could try:

1# Make sure you have already created a Places Category and assigned at least one to each listing.

2# Make sure you aren’t running any plugins known to cause conflicts: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/known-issues/

3# Read the basic setups docs here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/basic-installation/

4# Make sure you a re running the latest version of the plugin

And again, if you provide admin credentials in a private reply, we’ll check your settings.

    Thanks!

    Hi Danny,

#5 Make sure you have unticked “Place” at GeoDirectory > Design > Map > SHOW / HIDE POST TYPE AND CATEGORY ON MAP.

    Let us know.

    Hello!

    You still had this tick’d

GD > Design > Map > SHOW / HIDE POST TYPE AND CATEGORY ON MAP

I untick’d it and the map now loads.

    Hi,

it is unticked (show) by default.

    and it says:

Note: Tick respective post type or categories which you want to hide from home page map widget.

I would rather add a JS alert when everything is ticked to advise the user that’s equal to hiding the map.

    Thanks

omg I feel dumb lol. I swear I’d been over that page half a dozen times. Thank you SO much for the quick assist. My wife and I run several local small business directories and I just ran across your plugin the other day. I’m loving it, and hoping to switch all of our sites over as soon as I get the feel and groove of Geodirectory. You guys seem to have a lot of great extensions, and now add in a fast, knowledgeable support team, and I’m liking this even more. Keep up the great work!
