Hey,
So for probably a year now in the menu Geodirectory > Design > Directions under Home Map Settings we have allocated all categories on our website. By doing this it has made all categories visible on the map by default but the advantage is you don’t have to uncheck all other categories if you just want to view 1 category on the map.
Recently doing this has caused the marker cluster to stop working…
With all categories selected under Home Map Settings marker cluster DOESN’T WORK
With all categories selected except 1 under Home Map Settings marker cluster DOES WORK
Selecting a category from SHOW / HIDE POST TYPE AND CATEGORY ON MAP and marker cluster DOESN’T WORKNot Sure if now that we have expanded past 1000 categories is causing this issue?? or maybe something else is amiss??
Maybe there is another way to achieve having all categories visible by default but no categories checked?? or an uncheck all button??
website is POI Australia
Thanks

And when I then untick all categories again … ?April 19, 2017 at 12:37 am #374165I’ll repeat… These are the scenarios that it does and does not work (Below). (All Scenarios used to work) we are currently crippling along with the scenario that does work although not ideal. If you want to recreate a scenario that does not work you will have to use the login details to change the settings here Geodirectory > Design > Directions. please revert any changes you make if you can’t find a solution right away.

You cannot check all the boxes for a post type; you need to leave at least one category per post type to load. Checking all categories is the same as checking no categories at all!
.
I guess that is why you have the issue. I’ll get a developer to have a look too at your question. Thanks

After lot of debug found that the option value for “geodir_marker_cluster_zoom” always stores empty value. This option is under GD > Marker Cluster > Max Zoom.
Any plugin conflicts and causing [problem saving value for this option.Currently i have applied max zoom to 14 by updating core file and it working fine now.
But you have disable non GD plugin one by one and check which plugin causing this problem.
Thanks,
KiranApril 25, 2017 at 2:47 am #375168Thanks Kiran,
I deactivate all non Geodirectory Plugins including those with Geodirectory integration and still the markers wouldn’t cluster. Your right the settings GD > Marker Cluster just don’t save.
I’ve attached an Image of the Geodirectory plugins I had active when i was testing. (all other plugins not in the Image were deactivated)
I Cleared GDBooster Cache after deactivating plugins, Removed categories in GD > Directions to get marker clusters working again then re-added the categories to break marker cluster. Then went to GD > Marker Cluster and tried to add the map and the settings wouldn’t save.
Thanks
April 25, 2017 at 2:54 am #375170Also tried turning off GDBooster with no effect.

Can you confirm from your side?
It working fine for me, now i able save GD > Marker Cluster > Max Zoom. I have set the zoom level to 12.
FYI i have not enabled/disabled any plugin.Let us know.
Thanks,
KiranMay 2, 2017 at 8:06 am #376482Thanks so much for all your help on this.
The problem was that the plugin content timeline is extremely clunky. (i don’t recommend it at all) for some unknown reason written into the plugin was this: ini_set(‘memory_limit’,’100M’); which overwrote settings set in php.ini effectively starving wordpress of resources… and i’m guessing adding soo many categories to the before mentioned geodirectory settings exceeed this limit. I’ve replaced this clumbsy plugin and all seems to be working now
Thanks again for your help
