Hi Danielle,
Thanks for your reply and I’m sorry to hear about the problem. I’ve taken another look at your Website and it looks like the section you’re referring to is created manually using HTML and Custom CSS. Could you tell us where did you keep the custom CSS code for that section?
Thanks!
August 13, 2018 at 4:20 pm #442218Hi Danielle,
of course we take you and your site seriously. We are sorry that you are experiencing difficulty and we would be happy to help if you have additional issues related to GeoDirectory.
Let us know,
August 14, 2018 at 12:48 am #442272Hello
Custom HTML was placed in the widget GD Home Top Section.
It still doesn’t explain why on the home page “Popular Categories” was appearing and the columns on the home page are not in 3 columns.
As explained earlier myself or my website designer didn’t change anything.

August 14, 2018 at 2:48 am #442282Hi Danielle,
Thanks for your reply. The columns are not styled using HTML. Possibly the custom CSS went missing when you updated the theme or a plugin. Could you deactivate GD booster so that I could locate the custom CSS code? Once we find it, we can move it to a safe place such as GD > Design > Scripts > Custom Style CSS. Then the issue you had earlier will not repeat.
Thanks!
August 15, 2018 at 1:33 am #442411Thank you for that. I’m talking to my website designer in regard to the above to see what he says.
In regard to the mega menu issue my website designer followed your instructions and this was his response:
I’ve checked and the 2 widget filter options are enabled, but it makes no difference, the menu hides all other categories once you go into a specific category, for example fast food. You will need to ask them if they can look into this further as it appears that functionality is controlled by GD, not Mega Menu.
Can you please let me know how to rectify this issue urgently?
Thanks
DanielleAugust 15, 2018 at 3:01 am #442415Hi Danielle,
Thanks for your reply. I’m able to see the issue now. The reason it broke is because your designer inserted the Custom CSS code into the “supreme directory” child theme style.css file directly. Which is not recommended because when you update the child theme, all custom code inside the theme will be replaced. Do you want me to move it to another location? I recommend inserting into GD > Design > Scripts > Custom Style CSS. Or you prefer to do this yourself?
Thanks!
August 15, 2018 at 3:01 am #442416All is fixed now including the menu.
Thanks

Did you read my previous reply?
Thanks!
August 16, 2018 at 1:23 am #442602HI Kor
Thank you. Did you fix the CSS issue?
I’ve noticed another problem with the mega menu. If I search by category and location on the home page and then click a category on the the mega menu, the location comes up again. Is it possible to have the location cleared for the next search on the mega menu?
Thanks for your help.
Danielle
August 16, 2018 at 2:17 am #442604Hi Danielle,
Thanks for your reply. Sorry, I’m not getting this. Could you please show us some screenshots? Also, list the steps to replicate it.
Thanks!
August 16, 2018 at 9:15 am #442648Hi Danielle,
Mega Menu is not providing the widget options. That particular widget offers options (settings) as Paolo mentioned here:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/mega-menu-2/#post-440038
If the setting to turn off the location filter is not engaged, then the links will continue to be filtered for location.
You should contact the Mega Menu plugin author and ask them how to set widget options.
