I have installed a few GeoDirectory Addons, one I just added was Location Manager. When I add that, all my listings disappear except for one of the nine cities I have set, when I use the following shortcodes:
[gd_listings post_number=8 layout=4 list_sort=az]`[gd_listings post_number=8 listing_width=100% layout=4 category=8 list_sort=featured]’
Interesting tidbits:
• The default location places don’t show
• The default location places show when I disable Location ManagerI suspect it’s a setting or something I must have changed, or do the core shortcodes have a location filter in them?
Sadly, the website I am working on is about to be uploaded to a server until then I can’t post a link. Any suggestions until then?
March 4, 2016 at 6:44 pm #134069HI,
what version of the Location maanger have you installed? I see you are an expired member?
Support for add-on is provided to active members only.
Let us know,
Thanks
March 4, 2016 at 6:52 pm #134071Location Manager Ver. 1.4.0
GeoDirectory Ver. 1.5.8Yes, I had purchased the 4-month package. I didn’t install the multilocation until very recently, XD Not very smart of me.
March 4, 2016 at 6:58 pm #134073You can’t use an old version with the latest version of the core plugin.
Either you downgrade the core plugin to the version needed (you can verify dates in changelogs), or you need to renew and install the latest version.
Thanks
March 8, 2016 at 5:27 pm #136024Ah okay. Where are the changelogs for the add-ons? So far I only see the core changelogs.
March 8, 2016 at 6:04 pm #136049inside the plugin folders.
Thanks
March 8, 2016 at 7:57 pm #136123I’ve decided to buy the add-on, but it should be noted that the change logs in the add-ons don’t include dates. Thus, there is no way to cross check which version works with which version of the core plugin.
It’s also a little infuriating that upgrading the core will make the previous products broken without warning. I wonder what else I am using isn’t working.
March 8, 2016 at 10:14 pm #136171Hi,
I’m sorry about the missing date, however in our pricing page there is written:
Q: What happen if I cancel my subscription or my non recurring plan ends, will the plugins stop working?
A: The plugins will continue to work, you will no longer have access to support and updates for them. In such case you should avoid updating anything else, which is the only thing that could create new conflicts.
Please see: https://wpgeodirectory.com/downloads/membership/
In addition, in every single blog post or forum topic about a new release we write:
Please remember that both Core and Add-ons should be kept up to date. If you update the core plugin you must update the add-ons too!
Example: https://wpgeodirectory.com/release-of-v1-5-6/
Changes made on the core plugin may affect old add-ons, there is nothing to get furious about, it’s totally normal.
Thank you,
March 10, 2016 at 1:37 pm #137288I understand it’s just annoying. 😛
Side question (otherwise I’ll open a new topic), is it possible to filter places (such as through the listing shortcode), by price packages?
For example to list only price Package ID #s 3 and 5, can this be done?
Or is there a round about way to do this? Thanks for the help so far.
March 10, 2016 at 6:13 pm #137550Hi,
no that is not possible, you can only filter listings that are featured.
Thanks
