Hi there.
Every new directory signup has some (same each time) fields missing
http://prntscr.com/pavlr4
This is causing big issues as important data is missing
When I was testing it all was working
What would cause this?September 25, 2019 at 4:14 pm #510204Sorry, but I don’t quite understand.
Are you expecting fields to be populated when the form is opened? If you post your URL and WP admin details in a private reply then we can have a look if you like.
Also include a direct link to that ADD LISTING page. Thanks
September 25, 2019 at 5:34 pm #510238I expect that when user fills and submits a form, all the required fields will be populated when I edit the post (place) in the backend.
No?September 25, 2019 at 5:57 pm #510245Yes, that’s correct.
If you post your URL and WP admin details in a private reply then we can have a look if you like.
Also include a direct link to that listing. Thanks
September 25, 2019 at 7:44 pm #510263This reply has been marked as private.September 25, 2019 at 7:57 pm #510267I cannot recreate that …
Please try adding a listing from the frontend and then edit from the backend, all seems to work correctly.
Let us know. ThanksSeptember 25, 2019 at 8:08 pm #510270How come theres several listings with missing fileds if they are required??
September 25, 2019 at 8:54 pm #510276I am guessing that the content was accidentally deleted.
If you can replicate it and give us total details of the steps to recreate the problem, then we can check it out.
But if we cannot replicate it, then there is little we can do.
ThanksSeptember 25, 2019 at 9:18 pm #510281There’s 8 listings with missing data in the same fields and it was deleted accidently.
You are serious or you are joking?September 26, 2019 at 5:43 am #510305Like I said, I am only guessing because I can’t recreate it. There’s no way we can find out what happened in the past if it’s no longer happening.
Have you tested it now? Is it still happening?
Did you change anything to the custom field settings that possibly is the reason? Have the fields always been compulsory?
Were the listings added from the frontend or by CSV import. If you can tell us how we can recreate the problem then we will have something to work with.
Thanks
September 26, 2019 at 11:07 am #510331Now I see what’s the issue
They are marked as “admin edit”
Users don’t see those fields
Only logged in admins
I got this that they will fill those fields, but they wont get published and only admins will be able to see it.
But this is not the case. How can I achieve that?
I need user to fill some info that needs to be only visible in the backendSeptember 26, 2019 at 12:56 pm #510342Just use the normal setup but do not display the fields anywhere.
That way your users and you can edit the details but nobody else can see them. Thanks
September 26, 2019 at 12:58 pm #510343How do I change what’s being show on the front end?
September 26, 2019 at 2:14 pm #510359Each custom field has an option “show in what location”.
Delete everything from there.Thanks
September 26, 2019 at 8:15 pm #510440can you show me where is this option?
I can see only this but this is not what you talk about
