I’ve changed WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) after moving our website to another domain, but the Map widget didn’t show up. I’ve also run a few SQL queries to replace occurrences of old URL with the new one in the database, but that didn’t resolve the issue either.

Is there some way to do this without breaking the map functionality?

    Hi,

when replacing the URL in your database, it is common to damage PHP serialized strings.

When this happen widgets and menus are reset, just like when you siwtch theme.

I know this may sound like a silly question, but did you verify that the Map Widget is still where it should be?

If it is and it still doesn’t show on your front end, please provide a URL and admin credentials in a private reply and we will have a look.

    Thanks

p.s. to find and replace without damaging PHP serialized strings you can use a tool like this: https://interconnectit.com/products/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/

    Thx

    Hi Paolo,

I think you are right, I’ve accidentally damaged PHP serialized strings in the DB. I’ve managed to fix it manually for now, but I’ll try to use the tool you suggested the next time I attempt the migration.

Anyway, changing the URL values of ‘geodir_post_types’ in wp_options caused the map to crash (path to favicon.ico). The other changes just caused some minor issues, like icons not displaying.

    Thanks.
