is GeoDirectory multisite network compatible?
WP3.9 subdirectory network
having issues with network activation:
brand new fresh WP installation with GeoDirectory and extension suite, uploaded zip one by one…Location Manager will not network activate, triggered fatal error
There was an issue determining where GeoDirectory Location Manager is installed and activated. Please set default location in GeoDirectory Plugin.is it supposed to?
April 25, 2014 at 9:08 am #775Hi We have not complete our multisite testing yet, we did find some bugs so would not recommend it until we state it is compatible .
Thanks,
Stiofan
April 25, 2014 at 9:10 am #776hi thanks for fast reply
I just downloaded fresh plugin file and it loaded successfully – not sure what to expect on all features, but have test site so can break it (again)

June 24, 2014 at 6:19 pm #5942Is it possible?
Current Status?
What would be the Advantages?June 25, 2014 at 7:30 am #6086I am setting up a new GeoDirectory site. I would love to use multisite, but will not do so if it’s likely to cause problems, especially long-term.
June 25, 2014 at 9:57 am #6100Do you need it on your sub-sites?
I have it running on a multisite install but only active on the main domain – not caused me any problems so farJune 27, 2014 at 12:19 am #6388Hey,
Any update on WP multi-site compatibility? 🙂
Thanks!June 27, 2014 at 9:34 am #6437Thanks for the reply, John. I would like to use it on one sub-site only, so will go ahead.

July 25, 2014 at 7:08 pm #9986If we were to set up a bounty to get it multisite compatible it is not all that difficult, would Stiofan or someone else care to comment on what it would cost extra to get it done? 😉 I’d be happy to pay something extra to help get this feature.
It really isn’t super difficult, I did it for a small plugin, e.g.
Use $wpdb for database calls with table names vs hard coded. (like $wpdb->posts instead of ‘wp_posts’ and $wpdb->tables() vs ‘SHOW TABLES’. For creating WPGD’s own tables use $wpdb->prefix then the same table names, activation isn’t all that complicated either).
It is pretty straightforward, particularly when one is familiar with the code.

I had already voted. 😉Just thought I’d see if putting the offer of some extra money out there for it would be helpful. e.g. get 10-20 people each to offer to pay $100 or something.
August 2, 2014 at 8:24 am #10754Glad this post still has a little bit of traction.
I think this issue has some significant implications to rolling geodirectory out to more customers – with full multisite capability… very attractive and would pull lots of existing directories to make a switch
