Hi, I am using geodirectory version 1.6.23. I also have added several plugins. The theme is the supreme directory. I’ve attached a snapshot of the version of each plugin.

The problem is the ” add listing” link I added to my main menu links to the homepage and not to the add listing form that geodirectory creates. If you go to the geodirectory widget “loginbox” that was automatically added to my theme that appears all the way at the bottom of the homepage, I see an ” add listing” option with a dropdown that includes my two post types. When I select one, it takes me to an add listing page where I can add my listing with all the proper text boxes and so on. That’s good.

So, in the appearance–> menus option, I have the ” add listing” page added but on the actual front end, it links to the homepage. It’s as if this ” add listing” page has nothing.

OVerall, I’d like to have a dropbox on the main menu that shows all custom post types I’ve added so the user can select the type of category to add.

    Thanks.

There are two ways to go about this:

    1. Go to GD > Design > Navigation tab > and select your main menu on the top of the page, and then review all settings.
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#navigation

    2. Go to Appearance > Menus, and correct the URLs for the menu items. The correct links can be found from using the links in the “GD > Login” widget.

    Thanks

Actually one more question: How do I add the ” Dashboard widget” to the main menu section at the top?

Sorry, but you cannot add widgets to menus.

    Ok understood.

One last question: how do I remove the background image that appears on the supreme directory homepage? It’s the large map that appears with a hand. I don’t see an option.

You want to remove it, or replace it?
This post tells you how to change it: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/supreme-directory-overview/#homepage

    Thanks
